Charles F. Gilbert – Chairman and President

Charlie is the founder of Miracle Airlift.  He is a retired engineer, a commercial pilot, and a veteran of the Vietnam war.  In 2004 Charlie moved to Mexico where he “learned the ropes” of charity work in the field, alongside experienced volunteers. He and his wife Brenda also organized and funded the startup of Milagro de Volar A.C., a strategic ally of Miracle Airlift in Mexico. Charlie and Brenda are active in their local church, and are the grand-parents of twenty (20) grandchildren.

Joshua S. Young – Director and Vice President

Joshua holds a MS in electrical engineering and is an entrepreneur, startup business consultant, and product development engineer. In 2011 he founded an innovative technology health company Clovershield, Inc., and was president and chairman of the board. After raising over $3MM in private capital he grew the startup into a successful international business by 2014. He is also co-founder of Nipit, LLC that sells innovative products to help children break unwanted oral habits.  Josh’s business and marketing experience is a valuable asset for our management team.

Filiberto Castán Duarte – Director

Fili is a technical maintenance leader and industrial engineer with experience in factory automation. He also has specialized experience with the installation and operation of high power induction heating equipment for the production of disposable plastic medical devices. His broad knowledge of Mexican culture and geography is important to the success of our mission. Fili is a talented musician and serves as music director at his church.

Milestones

✮ Founded Milagro de Volar, A.C., December 2013, Baja California México, active status, our strategic ally in México.

✮ Founded Miracle Airlift, Inc., July 2014, San Diego, California U.S.A., active status, tax-exempt.

✮ Established Native Volunteer Worker Network, 2014-15  500 people (approx.) in several Mexican states from Baja California to Chiapas.

Miracle Airlift Corporation (also known as “Miracle Airlift, Inc.” and “Miracle Airlift”) is tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c)(3).  Individual donations are deductible under IRC Section 170. Bequests, devises, transfers or gifts are deductible under IRC Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.
